Our model of care is family centered, optimized to meet your needs, and staffed by our team of Family Medicine physicians, OB/GYNs and midwives.

We will work with you to tailor your birthing experience at our Maternity Care Center to consider your comfort as well as your personal and family needs. We are with you every step of the way to ensure the comfort of you and your baby.

Around the Corner

Chatham Hospital combines the resources of UNC Health with the custom support of a 5-bed maternity center. Our state-of-the-art new facility includes:

• 3 LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Post-Partum) Rooms
• 2 Post-Partum Rooms
• 1 Triage Room
• 2-Bed Nurseries 

We offer holistic and traditional pain management options including epidurals, nitrous oxide, and IV medications, deep-soaking tub, birthing/peanut balls and lactation support.

Our staff is focused on you throughout your time with us. You’ll stay in the same department of the hospital throughout your stay, with new and modern rooms tailored to help you and your family feel comfortable. Our center also offers ‘rooming in’ so you can keep your newborn’s crib next to you.

Pull out couches and recliners are provided for mom's support person who wishes to stay the night. The hospital provides free convenient parking for all visitors.
